Welcome to Class 2!
My name is Mrs Wright and I am the teacher in Class 2. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of such a wonderful community, in such a beautiful setting. Class 2 consists of year 2 and year 3 children who are imaginative, creative and eager to learn. They always try their hardest, making my job a pleasure!
I hope you enjoy exploring our class page to find out more about what it is like to be in Class 2.
This term our topic is March of the Dinosaurs.
Here are some pictures of our fossil hunters...
In maths, Class 2 have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. Here are some pictures of them making 'Skeleton shapes' which they made using their knowledge of vertices, edges and faces.
Class 2 have been learning how to write a non-chronological report. They have used story telling techniques to learn a model text about the human skeleton, as part of their topic 'Super Humans'. Here is the class re-telling the text using actions to help them remember.
Class 2 have been learning all about the human skeleton. They have learned how many bones adults and children have, how their skeleton moves and the names of the different bones in the body. To explore how the skeleton moves, class 2 made skeleton puppets. Here they are performing a little dance with their lively little friends!
This is what a typical week in class two might look like. However with such an exciting curriculum, we may sometimes deviate from this to accommodate trips, visitors and extra-curricular activities.
