‘Love one another as I have loved you’
Our ethos and values, rooted in Christian teaching, are for all children to be loved and cherished, to learn to build strong respectful relationships, to become enthusiastic learners and thinkers, to learn as much as possible and to become good citizens.
Marsh Baldon CE Primary School is a small, inclusive school where all are supported to learn, grow, succeed and serve others.
This school is for children of all faiths and of no faith. Our school values are Love, Cooperation, Equality, Respect, Integrity and Courage. Our values have roots in Christianity but are relevant to all people.
We aim for all children to be heard, respected and protected. We put the child at the centre of everything we do to enable them to be the best that they can be by:
Christian Foundations for School Values
Love
Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs, love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a
Cooperation
So then, we must always aim at those things that bring peace and that help to strengthen one another. Romans 14:19
Equality
So there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles, between slaves and free people, between men and women; you are all in union with Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28
Respect
‘Love your Neighbour as you love yourself’ Mark 12:31
Integrity
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Proverbs 24:25-26
Courage
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:1-4
